As we approach the 50th Anniversary of Ajafa Social Klobb, it is fitting to reflect on the remarkable achievements of our members who have continued to be shining examples in their respective fields of endeavor.

In academia, our members have distinguished themselves as scholars of great repute — led by eminent personalities such as Prof. M. O. Faborode, Prof. Olubayo Oluduro, Prof. Alfred Bosede, Prof. Ade Akinbobola, Prof. Adewale Foluso Akinyele, Dr Adeolu Aliu and Dr. J. Balogun — all of whom have demonstrated exemplary scholarship and leadership in their respective universities.

In politics, Ajafa proudly boasts of members who have made remarkable impacts and continue to lead with vision and passion. Notably, we have among us Rt Hon Victor Adekanye Olabimtan a former Speaker and current Board Chairman, whose leadership has been both inspiring and exemplary. Also worthy of mention include Engr Demola Olorunfemi, former  Commissioner for Agriculture and the Engr  Dr  JJ Alabi,current Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, former Special Advisers like Rotimi Williams Ekundayo, Elder AA Musa of whom have brought prestige and dedication to public service.

In the civil service, we have outstanding technocrats and administrators such as Otunba I. A. Itiola, B. J. Lawani, Oyedeji Segun, and Engr. Aladejana, Elder Bamidele Olabiwonninu who have all served meritoriously as Permanent Secretaries and Directors.

Our members are also excelling in artisan leadership — men of integrity and commitment such as Badusi Dayo, the Secretary of the Artisan Group in Ondo State, and Olaoyenikan Idowu, who serves as Akure South Local Government Chairman of the Tailors’ Association.

Indeed, Ajafa Social Klobb stands tall as a breeder of excellence, nurturing men of substance who are contributing meaningfully to the development of our society.

As we plan for the Golden Jubilee Celebration, let us join hands and donate generously to ensure that we complete and commission our Klobb House before the anniversary.

Together, we can make this dream a reality.

Breeders of Excellence — Part Two

Members of Ajafa Social Klobb have consistently demonstrated exemplary leadership in diverse areas of Supare’s development. Their outstanding performance within the Supare Development Association (SDA) arena stands as proof that Ajafa has always been a breeder of excellence.

2012 – Uniting Supare through Celebration

In 2012, Ajafite B. J. Lawani, as Chief of Ajafa Klobb, championed the Supare Day Celebration in collaboration with existing clubs in the community. That edition successfully united all social clubs in Supare, and the developmental requests and proposals submitted during the event brought remarkable transformation to the town.

2014 – Visionary Planning and Coordination

The late Ajafite Barr Jaiye Yusuf Dada provided sterling leadership as Chairman of the 2014 Supare Day Planning Committee, while Ajafite A. A. Musa was the Chairman of the Akure Branch of SDA then, the Branch that anchored the celebration that year. Their teamwork and commitment ensured another milestone in community unity and progress.

SDA National Leadership and Financial Prudence

The late Ajafite R. B. Falajiki, as Chairman of the SDA National Council, distinguished himself through prudent financial management, transparent spending, and accountability. His tenure earned him well-deserved accolades, having introduced a culture of saving and responsible leadership that inspired many.

Negotiation of the Town Hall Project

The exemplary leadership of Ajafa members most especially Prof M.O Faborode was also instrumental in securing the Town Hall project for Supare. This achievement resulted from strategic negotiations in Abuja with Crushed Rock Nigeria PLC—a feat that reflected integrity and selfless service rather than personal gain.Kudos to our erudite Ajafite Prof MO.Faborode. 

Recent Giant Strides in Lagos

The tradition of excellence continues with Ajafite Owojori Deji Akeredolu, whose monumental achievements as Chairman of SDA Lagos Branch have revived the once-dormant association. Under his able leadership, the branch has regained strength and vitality, further confirming that Ajafa Social Klobb remains a true breeder of excellence.

Faith in Action: The Spiritual Pillars of Supare

Ajafa members are not only recognized for their professional brilliance and leadership in community development; they also stand tall as men and women of deep faith whose spiritual convictions influence their daily lives and contributions to Supare’s progress. Their active involvement across various denominations underscores the Klobb’s commitment to moral values, unity, and service to God and humanity.

ECWA Church, Akure and Supare

Ajafite Chief I. A. Itiola is a household name within the ECWA Church in both Akure and Supare. His steadfast devotion and leadership have brought numerous benefits to the community, including infrastructural support and access to church facilities. The ECWA premises have graciously served as a venue for Supare Development Association (SDA) meetings, effectively functioning as the association’s Secretariat—a gesture made possible through the goodwill and influence of devoted Ajafites.

St. John’s Anglican Church, Ogangan

The late Chief R. B. Falajiki remains immortalized in the history of St. John’s Anglican Church, Ogangan. As a committed parishioner, his family played a pivotal role in ensuring the church’s expansion and stability. Through generosity and dedicated service, the Falajiki family made St. John’s a beacon of faith and growth in the community.

Ansarudeen Central Mosque, Supare

In the Islamic faith, Ajafa’s impact is equally remarkable. The late Barr. Jaiye Yusuf Dada and his brother, Ajafite Ibrahim Dada, were strong pillars of the Ansarudeen Central Mosque, Supare. Their philanthropic gestures and contributions to the spiritual and infrastructural development of the Mosque were widely acknowledged, notably during the Jumat Service held in honour of Late Alhaji Barr. Jaiye Dada. Their legacy continues to inspire the Muslim faithful of Supare.

Celestial Church of Christ, Supare

Within the Celestial Church, Ajafite Barr. B. J. Lawani stands as a towering figure. His unwavering commitment to the growth and stability of the church has made his name synonymous with integrity and service. His beloved wife, through divine favour and dedication, was honoured as Iya Ijo, a testament to the family’s spiritual devotion. Similarly, Ajafite Engr. Biola Aladejana has distinguished himself as a dependable supporter of the Celestial Church, contributing significantly to its development and mission.

Church of Ascension Anglican Communion, Supare

The Church of Ascension remains one of the strongest examples of Ajafa’s religious influence. Ajafite Prof. M. O. Faborode has made profound contributions to the church’s development, while Rt. Hon. Victor Adekanye , a man of deep faith, continues to demonstrate belief in the power of prayer through active service visit the Church of Ascension and see Rt Hon legacy in pulpit , bishop seat and various mable construction he 

donated, to God be the Glory. Prof. Olubayo Oluduro has also made notable impacts, with his wife serving pro bono as one of the supervising engineers during the construction of the church building.Ajafite Barr Segun Rotiba is another member that had passion towards the development of the Church of Ascension. 

These remarkable contributions inspired the Church leadership to honour Ajafite Rotn. Chief A. B. Okedusi, the Alabojuto of the Church of Ascension Anglican Communion, Supare—an honour that symbolizes the collective faith and service of all Ajafites.

St James's Anglican Church Supare had also been one of the Church of Ajafite members,  Ajafite Barr RW Ekundayo and Ajafite Solomon Adelakun Animasaun had been a committed member, they always honour God through their resources contributions. 

The Salvation Army Church

In the Salvation Army Church Ajafite A.A.Musa,  Ajafite Engr. J. J. Alabi and Prof. A. A. Akinbobola are not just members but fully-fledged Army Marshals, embodying discipline, courage, and service. Their leadership and humility have made them shining examples of Christian virtue. Interestingly, Ajafite B. J. Lawani is also a strong extended member of the Salvation Army family, reflecting the interwoven faith and unity that define Ajafa members.

Conclusion

Indeed, Ajafites are shining examples of religious believers whose faith transcends words and manifests in tangible service. Across denominations, they have built bridges of peace, fostered development, and exemplified the noble virtues of love, generosity, and community spirit.

Their spiritual footprints are visible in churches and mosques alike—proof that Ajafa Social Klobb continues to breed not just excellence in leadership and intellect, but also in faith and humanity.
