SCHOOL RESUMPTION OLABIMTAN ADVISED PARENTS

SCHOOL RESUMPTION:  SUBEB CHAIRMAN URGES PREPAREDNESS, CHARGES PUPILS TO STAY FOCUSES AND ASSURES CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR EDUCATION IN ONDO STATE. 

The Chairman of the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, has called on parents and guardians across the state to adequately prepare their children as schools resume on Monday 27th April, 2026 for the third term. He emphasized the importance of readiness, discipline, and proper planning in ensuring a smooth and productive academic session for pupils and students in public primary and junior secondary schools.

Rt. Hon. Olabimtan urged parents to provide all necessary learning materials and appropriate school uniforms, stressing that a well-prepared child is better positioned to benefit from classroom activities. 

He also appealed to parents to instill moral values, punctuality, and respect for teachers and school authorities in their children, noting that education goes beyond academic knowledge to include character formation.

The SUBEB Chairman charged students to return to school with renewed determination and a positive mindset. He encouraged them to approach their studies with diligence, resilience, and commitment, reminding them that education remains the most reliable pathway to achieving their dreams and contributing meaningfully to society.

He also called on teachers and school administrators to resume promptly and carry out their duties with dedication and professionalism. According to him, the success of the education system depends largely on the commitment of educators, who play a critical role in shaping the future of the state. He further encouraged them to adopt innovative teaching methods that will actively engage learners and improve academic performance.

Rt. Hon. Olabimtan reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Ondo State Government to the development of the education sector. He assured that the government will continue to prioritize investments in infrastructure, teaching personnel, and learning resources in order to create a conducive environment for effective teaching and learning.

Furthermore, the SUBEB Chairman emphasized the importance of collaboration among stakeholders, including parents, teachers, government agencies, and community leaders, in advancing the quality of basic education in Ondo State. He noted that collective responsibility is essential in addressing challenges and achieving sustainable progress in the sector.

Rt. Hon. Olabimtan, therefore, wished all pupils, students, teachers, and parents a successful and fulfilling academic term. He reaffirmed that the Ondo State Government remains resolute in its mission to provide accessible, equitable, and high-quality education for every child in the state, thereby laying a strong foundation for future growth and development.
